Hi. My name is Lori Clark. Thank you for taking the time to visit the website and learn about the service I provide. I'd like to take this opportunity to tell you a little about me and how Personal Touch Nursing came about.
I am a registered nurse with over 10 years of experience providing and coordinating care for seniors in the community. I have an Educational Specialist Degree in Adult Education from Northcentral University and Masters in Nursing from Capella University. I am certified by the AMSN in Medical-Surgical Nursing and by the NHPCO in Hospice and Palliative Care. I am a member of the Aging Life Care Association® and Houston Area Continuity of Care.
A few years ago, I took care of my aunt who was diagnosed with stage 4 cancer. I know first-hand how challenging it can be to care for a loved one. Between managing a home, raising children, working full-time or running a business, and dealing with other situations as they come up, caring for someone can be overwhelming. For individuals, keeping up with appointments or medications, can be difficult. Of course staying on top of your care is important because it keeps you healthy and feeling your best. But what do you do when its too much? I've lived it. I've witnessed it happen to others.
If there was anything I learned from my experience it was being a caregiver is one of the most challenging roles a person can take on. It comes with feelings of uncertainty, difficult decisions and, often, providing hands-on care. And whether it's something you plan for in advance or happens all of a sudden, being a family caregiver can be exhausting.
And hence, Personal Touch Nursing was born.
I started Personal Touch Nursing to give individuals and their family members a complete solution to planning and coordinating care. In most situations people don't know how to put into words the kind of support they need and aren't aware of the services available in the community. People are burnt out and are looking for a single solution that will put all the pieces into place and so that they can feel relief from the demands of being a family caregiver. This is what I do.
At Personal Touch Nursing, older adults receive personal advocacy and professionally managed care. Whether at home or health care setting, my approach is designed to relieve caregivers and individuals of the stress and uncertainty that comes with meeting personal goals for aging well, accessing care, and planning for the future.
I hope that the information on the website is helpful to you. With comprehensive and customized care management, your goals for independence and wellness will be achieved. I personally manage care for seniors in the Houston Texas area. If I may be of assistance to you in anyway, please call me directly.
